PSYCHODYNAMIC COUNSELLING: One of the major
therapeutic approaches recommended for problems including anxiety and
depression, developmental issues, relationship difficulties. Can be
helpful for talking through a variety of emotional stresses. Sessions
last 50 minutes, once a week, can be for a fixed period or open-ended,
short or long term.
PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOTHERAPY: Based on a wide range of
psychoanalytic theories concerned with early life experience and
relationships and/or trauma and their impact on current life situations.
Offers an opportunity to explore concerns or difficulties in depth in
to arrive at lasting change. Especially useful in dealing with complex
issues. Sessions are once a week or more frequent.
PSYCHOANALYSIS: Allows an exploration of a range of difficulties,
distress or conflict, personal strengths and resources, to arrive at
greater insight, clearer choices, improved relationships. Can lead to
resolution of long term problems and a greater sense of well-being.
