"HOW CAN I
GET MY HUSBAND TO TALK TO ME ABOUT MY CANCER?"
I am having treatment for
breast cancer, ok not nice and I have a lot of joint
pain etc. but the problem is that in our house anyone
would think it was my husband who was ill and not me. He
does so little, gets up about 10, walks the dog, sits
around or in front of the computer, falls asleep in
front of the TV and goes to bed around 2am. I have tried
asking him to do things around the house and he says yes
but doesn't do it and if I remind him he tells me not to
nag.
I really could do with
the help, it's depressing to see the house and garden in
a mess but some days it is hard to move about. I realise
that he is probably worried and depressed but he won't
talk to me about "feelings". He does listen to me when I
tell him how I feel but it doesn't turn into practical
help. Any thoughts please?
