I trained as a psychologist in Sydney, Australia. I have a Bachelor degree with Honours in Psychology and a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of NSW, Sydney.

I have been a registered psychologist in Australia since 2007. I am also a board-approved clinical supervisor with forensic endorsement: AHPRA PSY0001679771. I became registered as a psychologist in France in 2013.

I have worked for over 10 years in the public and private sectors. I have clinical experience working with a variety of issues and presentations, including:

  • Complex trauma and PTSD
  • Acculturative stress (the experience of immigrants as they adapt to a new society and culture)
  • Addiction and compulsive behaviour - substances, gambling, smoking, social media, screen, sex, shopping
  • Depression, anxiety and stress
  • Psychotic illness
  • Legal and risk issues
  • Personality vulnerabilities such as narcissistic and borderline traits
  • Autism spectrum
  • Relationship difficulties across the lifespan
  • Experience of marginalisation
  • Grief and loss

I take an integrative approach to therapy, that is, I use the therapeutic styles, techniques and strategies that in my experience may work best for that person at that particular moment. However, underlying my practice is attachment theory, which is a theory of how the emotional and relational bonds we developed in early life can influence our relationships and our life today. My practice is also trauma-informed, which means it is driven by the principles of safety, choice, trust, collaboration and empowerment.

In terms of specific approaches, I have extensive training and experience in schema therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), somatic psychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, mentalisation-based treatment (MBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based therapy and so on.
