I have been working in Meudon for 20 years now, where my activities currently include:

  • Therapy and counselling for adults

  • Play therapy for young children

  • Couples counselling & bilingual couples counselling

  • Sound therapy (an adaptation of the Tomatis method)

  • Also supervision for colleagues & counselling training

My office is situated right next to Bellevue station, which is just 15 minutes from the mainline Montparnasse station in Paris. Trains run every 15 minutes.

Fees: there is no charge for a first meeting. Fees are mutually agreed between 45 and 65 euros per session. A regular session usually lasts one hour.

I am British, but married a Frenchman over thirty years ago and came to France via six years in Brazil. My studies in sociology had left me wondering what it is that empowers certain people to develop resilience in their personal lives and to escape from statistical laws.

The theory of Person Centred Counselling has reconciled me to my vocation as a therapist. It has been my own personal and professional experience that the provision of a "therapeutic climate", where certain conditions are present, enables a person to contact his or her own "felt sense", his or her own inner wisdom, to be intensely him- or herself at that moment and to move on to a more satisfying life. My job as a counsellor is to work at creating that space and facilitating climate, to be as aware I can, and as present as I can with my full self, to both myself and my client. It is a never-ending but very rewarding inner discipline and I look forward to each new meeting and shared journey.

I was trained in Great Britain by Person Centred Therapy (Britain) and hold their Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy Diploma and the Certificate in Person Centred Supervision. I abide by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy code of ethics and those of the PSY'G and AFP-ACP in France. I believe in the necessity for counsellors to continually further their own personal and professional development and became a founding member of the European Association for Counselling. I am in permanent supervision myself and, as a trained supervisor, I offer supervision to colleagues and am also a trainer in person centred psychotherapy and counselling skills.
