Counselling in France

I am based near Toulouse

I am a qualified counselling practitioner and a Certificated Pastoral Care Member of the Association of Christian Counsellors www.acc-uk.org by whose code of ethics and practice I abide (copy available on request).

My experience in counselling has been mainly in a pastoral context, especially during my time as pastor of a church in Buckingham, England. My approach is person centred and my aim is to help my clients appreciate the symptoms and causes of their difficulties, and to help them find solutions that will improve their quality of life.

I’m British and have lived in France with my wife and children for 17 years. I am a member of the leadership team of the Toulouse International Church in Cornebarrieu, a protestant evangelical church pioneered about 14 years ago by an American missionary organisation called the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA), and also of its French speaking daughter church, the Eglise Protestante Internationale in La Salvetat St Gilles.

I always offer an obligation-free free assessment appointment. Clients who feel that I will be able to help them are then asked to sign a simple form of agreement which covers such aspects as referral, confidentiality, regularity of sessions, record keeping, termination, practitioner supervision and so on. This form is designed for the mutual protection of both the client and the practitioner (sample form available on request)
