I am a qualified counsellor living in the Aude Department of France.The village of Cascastel is approximately 35 kms from Narbonne, 40 kms from Carcassonne and 45kms from Perpignan.

Before moving to France 11 years ago I was employed by East Sussex Education Department as a Teacher/Counsellor in a Special School. In addition I saw private clients, facilitated groups, and taught a Counselling Skills group at Hastings College. Since living in France I have been employed by Help Age International to work with refugees in Croatia on a short term contract. I continue to see clients privately.

I usually recommend a minimum of six weekly sessions. Any alteration to this structure is agreed to after discussion.

The first meeting with a client, after the initial contact, is one of mutual assessment and is free. This usually lasts about 30 to 45 minutes. My approach is Client Centred with a strong Gestalt input..

I have been a member of the British Association of Counselling for 20 years and adhere to the Code of Ethics of that organisation, and of The European Association of Counselling.
