David Milne

Hello and welcome to a brief resumé of my qualifications and practice background. I hope you find it useful in your search for a counsellor.

My name is David Milne, a qualified counsellor with a post graduate MSc (Master of Science) degree in counselling studies, specialising in counselling as a component of employee assistance programmes; my qualifications can be checked at the University of Edinburgh registry office in Scotland at http://www.registry.ed.ac.uk. The course of study leading to my MSc was both person-centred and psychodynamic in orientation. But I would describe my style of practice as person-centred.

I am also a qualified social worker with over 13 years experience in this field holding both CQSW, and Certificate in Child Protection studies qualifications. Six years of this experience was working, in part, as a counsellor for young people and adolescents who had been sexually abused. I also have experience as a family mediation, contact centre organiser.

Over the years I have worked with many individuals affected by a wide range of problems, both adults and young people. I work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework.

I moved to France in 1999, and now I live and work near Aix en Provence, in the village of Lambesc, aprox 25 minutes north of Aix. I also offer a webcam-based counselling service, www.counsellingcam.com  for those who can not come to meet me at my home-based office in the village.
